Group Contract – How Can I Survive Without Drinkable Water
Members: Galen O’Neill, Julia Tolmachyov, and Francesca Cali
Task List and Assignments:

Group Constitution
Forward: This contract is a binding document and governs the group until the assigned
project deadline. If the group separates, or a member is fired, the basic contract laws
remain intact for both parties. However, being fired may cause work responsibilities to
shift.

Article I: Absence Policy
The person who is absent is responsible for contacting group members regarding their missed work. For each day a student is absent, they will be given that same amount of time to complete their assignment. In this case, Mr. Erickson will be contacted and informed on the issue and the appropriate time allowance will be given to that student.
Article II: Work Policy
a. Each group member will work to the best of their ability, completing work that is up
to standards with punctuality.
b. If a group member commits plagiarism, they are solely responsible and incur the
punishment on their own.
c. To reduce the amount of time the group may need to work outside of class on this project, each group member commits to complete focus on this problem while in class, while always staying on task. Members are responsible for keeping each other in check and keeping each other focused.
Article III: Leadership
a. Because our group has only three every members, we will share the leader responsibilities listed below. This means that if every person follows through on their duties they will each be rewarded two leaderships points. Each member is responsible for participation and management.
1. Organize and participate in group meetings.
2. Create and enforce a group agenda to govern group progress. This must be updated daily showing what each student is working on and shared with Mr. Erickson.
3. Organize and participate in any out-of-school project efforts.
4. Assist in the communication between group members in order to help individuals work towards the project goal.
Article IV: Work Ethics
a. If a group member does not work to the best of their abilities and complete all duties and any assigned work they will lose their leadership points.
b. Two hard work points can be assigned to each member based on their performance, but to avoid conflict, points will be decided in an open discussion rather than voting.
c. There is no time deadline for assignments because members are involved in many after school extracurricular activities/sports and are trusted to complete work by the day due.
Article V: Member Dismissal
If a group member fails to complete their assigned duties and work a discussion will he held regarding their group status. A meeting with Mr. Erickson will also be held. Members have two chances until they are fired from the group.
Article VI: Signature
By signing this contract the following members acknowledge that if a member fails to abide by the articles of this contract, they may be fired from the group, as outlined in Article V above.
